What is Tailoring?

One-to-one communication with your target group.

Every answer, response or click of the mouse that an individual participant in a Nettailor study makes is automatically saved as a variable in a file. From this we can tell when a participant started and finished, how long it took them to complete a block, what they did or did not look at, or what their answer was to a particular question.

All saved variables can then be combined endlessly within Nettailor to create new conditions (filters) that need to be met. This makes it possible to offer individual participants, completely automatically, customised routes and scenarios within a study. This principle is called ‘tailoring’. With Nettailor, it is also possible to generate customised text within questions, answers and emails on the basis of these filters. This principle is called ‘micro-tailoring’. Nettailor gives the researcher flexibility and a substantial reduction in the number of questions that are defined in comparison to systems that work according to the Routing/Skipping principle.
